Caitlin Kim 3 1/2

Three and half. The terrible threes have set in. It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. Ah, the life of a threenager!

Size

Caitlin can...
Use her chore chart. This is something that we recently started, and I am pleased with how well it is going. Caitlin can help Mommy do simple chores around the house, go potty, wash her hands, put on most of her clothes (needs help with the shirt usually), and shoes. On completion of all her tasks, she can watch a half hour to an hour of television. She earns time when she gets up in the morning for during/after lunch and after nap for the morning time. She loves it! (a girl after Mommy's own heart).

Feeding:
Caitlin has been eating up a storm lately. (Growth spurt?) She tells me, "Mama, I am SO hungry! Really, really, really, reeeeaaaally hungry." Her most favorite thing to eat is a fruit pouch (applesauce in a pouch) which she only gets once a day if she finishes her dinner.

Down to a quarter capful of Miralax three times a week. We tried to cut it out completely and had issues, so we are on reduced amounts.

Sleeping:
Caitlin's nap has been reduced to an hour, although I usually can get her to stay in bed for an hour and half to rest. She sleeps from 7:30 to 6:30 (most days). She naps from 2:00-3:30.

She does really well with her cow alarm clock and will wait in bed until "cow's up" and then will call, "Mama, cow's up! Cow's up now!"

Loves:
Dancing! You can't get enough and dance easily over an hour a day to pandora music stations. You loved watching the "big girls" at rehearsal and imitate what you saw.

Making baby brother laugh. (also scolding baby brother)

Going to movies and the library and playdates and dates with Mama and Daddy.

Camping.

Fixing stuff in the garage with Daddy.

Playing with friends: Kendall, Agnes, Olivia, and big friends: "Anderuh", Miss Tami, and Miss Nicole.

Not a Fan of:
Going to bed or for nap. Although you are so much happier when well rested.

You have been testing limits. Checking to see if "1, 2, 3" really means anything. If I will follow through with time out. It's challenging, but I think you have realized that I'm "for serious".

Levi taking your stuff. Or not doing what he's supposed to. His screeching. Pulling your hair. Ah... little brothers.

Wearing:
Clothes: 3T! Enjoying the 3T wardrobe. Lots of cute summer things!

Diapers: size 5 Luvs only for naps and night.
Contemplating bringing out the little potty for your bedroom in case you need to go in the middle of the night, but also nervous to rock the boat. Maybe we'll try in July.

Shoes: size 6 Finally! Woo-hoo to new shoes!

Caitlin, we are having so much fun this summer. It is fun to watch you with Levi and to take you on outings. Love you so much!
