21 months

Just squeezing this in before Caitlin turns 22 months. August is a busy month for us.

Caitlin is so much fun these days. It feels like every day she is doing something new. She is certainly becoming her own little person (and letting us know it, too!)

Size 23 lbs (10th percentile). I think she's around 32 inches tall.

Caitlin can...
Identify animal sounds. Cow: mmmm Cat: owww Monkey: eee eee eee Sheep: aaaa Duck: Kak Kak

Identify her body parts. Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Bellybutton, Hands, Feet, Pigtails (important, of course)

She tries to do everything herself these days. From buckling her shoes to putting on her diaper to getting dressed. She's forever letting me know she's a "big girl" now.

Feeding:
Drinks 1 bottle of crapplejuice (apple juice and Miralax), 3 bottles of whole milk, and water. (will be phasing out the Miralax in the next month or so)

She is eating most everything these days. I try to give her at least 3 different items on her plate for most meals, so she has some choices. She will eat corn, tomatoes, and carrots as her vegetables (the only thing she's kinda picky about).

Sleeping:
Caitlin's wake up time is so sporadic. Any where between 6:30 and 8:30. Her bedtime is between 7:30 and 8:00. She is taking one nap from 1:00-3:00 (1:30-3:30 at daycare).

Loves:
Swimming and the splash pad. We take out her suit and ask if she wants to go swim, swim and she comes running and laughing towards you.

Trying to hop. She can't quite figure out how to get her feet off the ground, but she bends her knees and waves her arms as she tries to take off. Haha!

Playing with her little princesses, dolls, and play food. What a girlie girl!

Camping. New love. She had so much fun exploring and sleeping/playing in the tent.

Not a Fan of:
Being strapped down in the shopping cart. We rely on yogurt melts and baby food pouches to give us about 20 minutes of shopping. Jason enjoys the fact that we don't dawdle anymore.

Being told no. She is getting so independent and determined. I usually have to find something to "trade" her, if I need to take anything away.

Wearing:
Clothes: 12 month onesies and bottoms. 18 month everything else.

Diapers: size 3 Luvs still... We are going to try potty training over Fall Break. We'll see how that goes.

Shoes: size 4 finally (although many pairs are still a bit big).

Can't believe the next month post will be for age 2!
